107 Irregular Migrants Rescued in Çanakkale and Muğla Waters
The Northern Aegean Coast Guard Group Command teams rescued 27 Afghan irregular migrants who were drifting due to the malfunction of their boat's engine and requested help in Ayvacık.
In another operation, the teams who arrived in the same area with a boat rescued 34 irregular migrants from Yemen, Liberia and Eritrea on the rubber boat.
After the procedures, irregular migrants were handed over to the Ayvacık Foreigners Repatriation Center.
Upon the notification of a group of irregular migrants on Karaada Island in Bodrum, Dive Team (DEGAK-15) of the Coast Guard and Bodrum District Security Directorate carried out a joint operation. Nine irregular migrants, who came to the island on their own and requested help, were taken from the island.
Following the information that a group of illegal immigrants was on the rubber boat off the coast of the Datça district, the Coast Guard Boat (TCSG-3), which was directed to the region, rescued 37 irregular migrants from the rubber boat pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements.
